AMANDA PEET TAKES CHEERLEADING LESSONS
Amanda Peet was able to practice mothering before she actually became one in The Ex. |
Amanda Peet’s mothering skills were put to the test in The Ex playing an attorney who sends her husband Zach Braff off to work when she has her baby. |
A brand new mother to Frances Pen with Wolverine writer husband David Benioff, Amanda says those maternal instincts were already kicking in. |
“Yes I had baby fever before I did the movie. Oh there were a few babies because you just can’t have one baby on the set the whole time and they were all adorable and I was so excited to come to work.” |
Amanda says becoming a mother hasn’t changed her perspective on the way she approaches her work, but liked the way the film portrayed motherhood. |
“It hasn’t really changed. I just don’t think I can work all that soon. I don’t really know. I’m sleep deprived. I can’t think straight about anything. I mean I really like the perspective, the portrayal of motherhood in the movie. I think it’s a little funny and sort of pokes fun at the kind of militant, snooty mom kind of thing that people around you are always sort of telling you what to do and everybody has an opinion and you have to kind of filter that out a little bit. I love that the movie addresses that.” |
Unlike The Ex Amanda believes that men should have an equal role in baby chores and says David freely volunteers with the messy fatherly duties. |
