AMANDA BYNES STANDS OUT IN SYDNEY WHITE
Amanda Bynes plays a college freshman at an Ivy League school who pledges her late mother’s sorority in Sydney White but doesn’t receive the warmest welcome from her fellow students. |
Amanda was attracted to the film because it’s the modern day live action telling of the Walt Disney classic Snow White, but mostly she related to Sydney because like herself she is an independent free spirit who doesn’t follow the crowd. |
In Sydney White, the seven dwarfs are now seven dorks who follow Sydney around campus and of course there’s her Prince Charming played by Matt Long, most recently seen as the young Johnny Blaze in Ghost Rider. |
“I also really liked the message about sort of being yourself and having your own defined personality and not sort of following everybody else’s personality just because that’s what’s in or popular. Because I’ve always gone my own way and been my own person and sort of a take it or leave it kind of personality. That’s sort of what my character in this movie has as well and I like that for many reasons, for girls to have a role model to look up to and for me it feels nice to play a diplomatic character. I hope people relate to her sort of personality and I hope it inspires some people to go for their dreams and not feel they have to conform to something that’s not them.” |
