All Time Low his New York City’s Time Square as part of MTV’s special, and vocalist Alex talks about what he’s doing for the holidays. |
All Time Low is wrapping up their mini-pre Christmas tour, but they’ve just announced their last gig of the year is their first gig of next year. The band will partake in MTV’s New Year’s Eve celebration with The Academy Is, Metro Station, Kevin Rudolph and headliner Miley Cyrus. The event will air from 8 to 9:30pm on New Year’s Eve. |
Vocalist Alex Gaskarth talked about his plans for the holidays. |
“Man, we’re just going to… besides these shows we’re just going to take it easy. I’m excited to go home and spend the holidays at my house and just hang out with my dog. I’m going to go away for a little while and then we’re going to go and do the new record in the new year [Where am I going?] the Bahamas for a little while. I’m excited. The cold gets a little much.” |
He also said that he was pondering breaking out his snowboard for the downtime. |
“Actually that was the other thing that I was kind of bummed out that I didn’t think of doing. I may actually try and make some time in January to try and do that. I snowboarded for years. I haven’t done it for the past two years just because of the band and being busy and stuff like that. I’ve owned seven snowboards in my lifetime and snapped two in half and broke my arm snowboarding. I love it. My family used to have a house in Utah, in Park City. So, it was something I used to be very passionate about and would love to get back out there. Hopefully this year, I’ll get to do it again.” |
All Time Low hopes to get right to work on a new album after the holidays for a summer 2009 arrival. |
