ALL STAIND WANT IS TO WRITE BEST SONGS THEY CAN
After debuting their latest video for the song “All I Want” Staind reveal all they want is to write good songs and progress as musicians |
After 20 weeks on The Billboard Top 200 Chart and peaking at #3, Staind’s latest album “The Illusion of Progress” continues to showcase the band as song writers and is another major example of the band progressing at their craft. Already with a loyal fan base that continues to grow with each release, Staind will continue touring in support of their latest album with a European tour that will soon begin after the band finishes up their North American Tour Dates. Staind have recently debuted their latest video for the single “All I Want” and lead vocalist Aaron Lewis and guitarist Mike Mushok both feel the job as songwriters isn’t done until it feels right. |
Artisan News caught up with Aaron Lewis and Mike Mushok to get their thoughts on trying to write the best songs they can. |
“I defnitely think it’s the most musical thing we’ve done. I think if you listen to our records there’s a progression of that. It’s really just about trying to write the best songs you can and it always has been. I think that we’ve done it but I thought that we’ve done that with every other record. We kind of have to or it’s not done. It’s not done and we got to keep working.” |
Staind will start their tour of Europe with dates beginning Jan 18th in Dublin, Ireland and extending until Feb 10 in Paris, France. Aaron Lewis will be heading into his home studio to begin recording his first solo album in the very near future as well. The album, which he plans to start after Staind have completed their touring cycle for “The Illusion of Progress” comes after Lewis’ very successful solo acoustic tour from 2007. Aaron Lewis does have a brief solo tour scheduled with dates starting Feb 13th in Atlantic City, NJ and finishing off Feb 28th in Uncasville, CT. |
