AFRIKA BAMBAATAA HAS A BEEF WITH RADIO

Hip hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa is upset with several radio stations in the greater New York area. Bambaataa has accussed New York’s Hot97 and Power 105 of brainwashing listeners by repeating the same songs over and over again.

The creator of Planet Rock explained his disdain for urban radio. He said,

“There’s something stink that’s going on now with hip-hop music that is on our airwaves as well as all types of music that’s on our airwaves. Meaning we are trying to raise god and goddesses to bring the balance the of mayas back to our airwaves.”

Bambaataa and several other groups are planning to protest outside of several stations in the coming weeks.
