ADAM GOLDBERG GIVES RELATIONSHIP ADVICE
2 Days In Paris star Adam Goldberg doles out relationship advice. |
Adam Goldberg reunites with his former girlfriend, writer, director and star Julie Delpy to explore what it means to deepen a relationship in the film 2 Days In Paris. |
Adam and Julie are dating for two years in the film and are traveling around Europe when they take a sojourn to her hometown of Paris and their romance takes it’s own sort of vacation. |
“Once you kind of hit that two year mark. Well I think a lot of things happen. You’re either gonna move to a much more deeper sort of level or you’re going to realize that actually you don’t really know this person at all. Again you can either evolve from that point or you break up, you know.” |
Adam meets Julie’s parents in the film played by her real life folks, veteran French actors Marie Pillet and Albert Delpy. |
“I mean the friends and the family thing because really what it is it’s like saying this is really who I am. This is all of me, and I think this is really where people tend to get into trouble because they don’t necessarily want to deal with that person’s history, with who that person really, really is, with all their insecurities, with all their shortcomings. It’s clearly why a lot of couples break up, not because they’re incompatible but because I think they’re kind of afraid to show themselves, to reveal themselves, to reveal their own insecurities.” |
There are personal things that happened between Adam and Julie when they dated which made it into the film, including a photo of a naked Adam with Helium balloons attached to his private parts. 2 Days in Paris opens Friday, August 24th in theaters. |
