ACTRESS BRITTANY MURPHYS TRAGICALLY DIES OF CARDIAC ARREST AT 32
Actress Brittany Murphy tragically died on December 20th, 2009 of what inital reports are calling a cardiac arrest. The New Jersey native, whose film credits include “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” “Sin City” and “Don’t Say a Word” was only 32 years old. A 911 call was made from the home owned by her husband, Simon Monjack and after trying to revive her with CPR, Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was pronounced dead on arrival. Although Brittany had never recorded an album, she did have a #1 hit dance track “Faster Kill Pussycat” which is from Paul Oakenfold’s 2006 album “A Lively Mind” and became a club hit for their pair. |
In an earlier interview Artisan News caught up with Paul Oakenfold to get his thoughts on the vocal talents of Brittany Murphy. |
“It was great. We met through mutual friends and we became friends and were hanging out and I was looking…I spent a long time working in film and I definitely wanted to showcase somewhere on the record that avenue. I wanted to use a vocalist that had never done a record before. I wanted to find someone who was cool, in my opinion cool and sexy and cutting edge. Brittany just delivered this wonderful vocal with a really strong sexy voice and it really worked well. People are going to be shocked when they know it’s her.” |
It’s unlikely the public will know the full reasons why Brittany Murphy went into cardiac arrest until toxicology reports come out sometime in the next six weeks, but there are reports that she had type 2 diabetes, which may have contributed to her sudden death. |
