ACTING BUG BITES GYMNASTS, SAYS STICK IT STAR JEFF BRIDGES

(VIDEO) World class gymnasts who trained the stars of Stick It got bit by the acting bug.

World class gymnasts Isabelle Severino and Nastia Liukin were an asset on the set of Stick It givig Jeff Bridges’ coach invaluable advice, and showing untrained actors a tumble or two. Jeff says since they’ve appeared in the film they’ve been bitten by the acting bug.

Bridges stayed clear of doing any of the gymnastic stunts, although he did attempt to do a handspring.

“We were all so fortunate to have with us in our company two world clas gymnasts Isabelle Severino and Nastia Liukin and both of them helped the girls, the actresses immensely. Also I would go to them all the time and say ‘what would your coach say to you? How would your coach behave at this particular time?’ And they would always have a very quick answer to me. Just like they inspired our actresses, our actresses inspired them and both of thosee ladies are now thinking about becoming actresses so it’s a two-way street.”
