Artisan News was founded by Executive Producer/CEO Darren Davis. Founded in 2003 Artisan News evolved from radio syndication and audio content syndicators to becoming the first entity to provide one-stop-shopping for music and entertainment news for all formats. Focusing on Rock, Pop and Urban Artisan helped revolutionize content distribution and delivery paving the way for outlets that have come later like Townsquare Media, iHeartRadio, and others.

Darren started out working at MJI Broadcasting (Now Premiere Radio Network) and WOR radio in the newsroom on the weekends. What was learned was a keen detail to news reporting while learning the business of radio syndication. Starting out as a pre-production engineer at MJI and Jr. Reporter at WOR Radio he became producer of Today’s Rock Fax, while also helping to produce the syndicated Rock Today, Metalshop, and Rock Formation radio quiz show. Moving over to SW Networks newsroom, he was part of a team that was purchased by launch.com, which was then purchased by Yahoo! As the East Coast Rock Producer he got a taste of the online culture and with participation in Yahoo!’s east coast video shoots, decided to form Artisan to turn one sit down into interviews for print, radio, TV, web and mobile outlets.
Darren teamed with Urban producer Yves Salomon, who was at one time an owner in Artisan News, to provide a solid team and freelance contributions were submitted by the esteemed Robin Milling for Entertainment and Brian Miller, who works freelance on Artisan’s west coast coverage.

West Coast Producer Brian Miller
Brian has been working with Artisan News delivering content to Artisan News and is a valuable part of our team. He has been handling all west coast coverage.
Technical and Operations for Artisan News:
Wintech Consulting – Wintech consulting handles all operational, content and news technical processes from news ingestion, setting permissions for reporters, FTP for clients and reporters
MPD Systems – MPD Systems handles all MIS functions including servers, security, computer infrastructure, storage and network systems.
Voice Talent/Photogrpaher/Reporter – Rebecca Davis has been the voice of Artisan News since its inception and also stepped in to voice ANS Entertianment News. Rebecca is a classically trained actor/actress and has appeared in numerous productions around NYC. She is also available to voice your production and or commercial.
