A MORE DARING AND BRAVE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS FINISHING UP ALBUM
The All American Rejects are readying a new album and the band gives us an update on the songwriting |
The All American Rejects, who are currently in the studio working on the follow up to 2005’s album ‘Move Along’ are taking their time on the current project with the bands past success affording them the luxury of having plenty of studio time. ‘Move Along,’ which peaked at #6 on The U.S. Billboard 200 chart featured multiple hit singles ‘Dirty Little Secret,’ ‘Move Along’ and ‘It Ends Tonight’ and the band will look to duplicate their past success. |
We caught up with Mike Kennerty and Tyson Ritter to find out if the band is feeling any pressure to live up to their past success. |
“We felt that last time coming off ‘Swing Swing’ but this time it’s kind of different because everybody’s kind of stoked about our new record. Where as last time we had to go on all fours just to s some d just to get people to believe that we wrote a good record and it worked. So now our approach is who gives a f***. I hope they like it.” |
We also talked with The All American Rejects about how the new record is coming along. |
“We’re putting heart and soul into this record. We’re doing it no other way we’ve done it and the music is coming out a little bit more daring and brave so, this is the one for us.” |
Alternative Press recently named the band’s upcoming third album as the number two on the list of the most anticipated albums of 2008. Currently the band doesn’t have a title for the album yet, but they hope to have it completed by mid September. The All-American Rejects have also announced that they will be playing the Vans Warped Tour 2008 from June 20th to June 29th. |
