ZAKK WYLDE OK WITH JOINING OZZY FOR FREEFEST, BEER COLD?

OzzFest, which has been dubbed FreeFest, has allegedly sold out, though huge chunks of tickets are available via several promotions by the tour’s sponsors. The somewhat confusing way tickets have been distributed have left some confused, but the fact remains that over 428,000 tickets were distributed by the show’s promoter, Live Nation. Those which are not available can be purchased, yes purchased, rolled into VIP packages.

We recently spoke to Ozzy guitarist Zakk Wylde who talked about his approach to the gig.

“Oh the free OzzFest thing? You never question your mother, so I never question mom. The bottom line is this; It’s none of my business. I just show up and I play and I’ll do what I gotta do and the beer is ice cold. Game over, badda boom, badda bing. That’s it.”

OzzFest organizers are warning people who attempt to purchase tickets to “sold out” shows on ebay and other sites that there are a lot of counterfeit tickets. There is more information about the fake tickets at ozzfest.com.
