PEARL JAM VOX EDDIE VEDDER BATTLES ISRAEL BACKLASH FROM WAR RANT

Pearl Jam is in a bit of hot water, or should we say their singer, Eddie Vedder is. Vedder is coming under fire about comments he made regarding the present war between Israel and Hamas. The conflict is intensifying after Hamas did not agree to a cease fire, with the latest newsworthy report saying that 4 Palestinian children were killed by an Israeli explosion.  Video and reports have proliferated online, with an apparently intoxicated Vedder telling those who are taking land to evacuate. We can only think he means the Israelis, who are building settlements on Palestinian settled land. Here is a portion of the Eddie Vedder YouTube concert banter clip.

While Vedder talked about bombs aimed at children, he may be trying to appeal unilaterally, but those in Israel and many Jews are not taking it that way.

Eddie has always had a problem with the U.S. funding military operations and feeding arms for war, and when George W Bush was in power, he voiced his displeasure of the deception that led us into the Iraqi war.

While several bring Pearl Jam to Israel campaigns have been stopped, the violence in the region looks like it has already taken its toll. A Neil Young show that was to have taken place this week in Israel was canceled due to the hostilities and the possibility that the terrorists might aim at planes or shoot missiles at Tel-Aviv during the conflict.
