METALLICA LARS ULRICH, ROB THOMAS AMONG ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME SPECIAL GUESTS FOR 2016
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame has announced special guests for this year’s induction ceremony at the Barclays Arena in Brooklyn, New York on April 8. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, Matchbox Twenty frontman Rob Thomas, and The Black Keys have been announced as presenters or performers for the event. TheĀ 31st Annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony will enshrine Chicago (by way of fan vote), Deep Purple, Cheap Trick, N.W.A., and Steve Miller.
Metallica have been longtime supporters of Deep Purple getting into the Rock Hall, and Metallica’s Kirk Hammett said a few years back at the Led Zeppelin film premiere that the group had been overlooked for too long.
Tickets for the 31st Annual Rock And RollĀ Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony go on sale February 5, but Citi card members have first crack at the tickets starting on February 1. Also honored will be Ahmet Ertegun Award for Lifetime Achievement Inductee Bert Berns.
An edited version of the show will be seen on HBO later in April.
