BON JOVI RICHIE SAMBORA & ORIANTHI TEAM FOR ALBUM, BUT IT’S NOT WHAT YOU’D EXPECT

Guitarists Richie Sambora and Orianthi have not only been linked together romantically, now they’re connected  musically as well. The duo has been working with noted producer Michael Bearden on a forthcoming album, but it won’t be a shred album as some would expect from the talented musicians.

At the recent MusiCares Person Of The Year event honoring Bob Dylan, the trio – Bearden, Orianthi and Sambora – talked about how the album will be very song oriented.

Sambora was known for helping to write some of Bon Jovi’s biggest hits, and Orianthi despite her pedigree with Michael Jackson and phenomenal chops, had a hit pop song with “According To You.” Bearden said that he got out of his comfort zone to create something that will be potentially groundbreaking.

Orianthi talked about working with Sambora, and the exiled Bon Jovi guitarist talked about working on the music with Bearden and Orianthi.

The album is slated to be released later this year, but at this point they’re still creating and entertaining label partner offers.
