A.F.I. singer Davey Havoc and guitarist Jade Puget took time out of making the follow up to their breakthrough album, Sing The Sorrow to attend the Vanity Fair concert for the Step-Up Women’s Network on Saturday night (October 23) in Los Angeles. rn |
Havoc and Puget were special guests of Dave Navarro and the rest of his cover band Camp Freddy. The band talked about where they’re at regarding the new material.rn |
Jade “We are writing the new album. (Davey) We have been writing the new album (Jade) for months and months (Davey) We have written over (Jade) fifty songs (Davey) Yes, yes, over 50 songs.”rn |
The duo also quipped about which ones will make the album. |
(Davey) Probably about 49, I think… Nah just kidding. (Jade) Probably like 15 then, 12 on the album… (Davey) “Yeah, we don’t want to make the album too exhausting for anybody (laughs).”rn |
Before appearing at the benefit, A.F.I.’s last appearance was at the MTV Icon in Europe honoring the Cure. The band hopes to have new material done in 2005.rn |
