Lamb of God has gone gold for their DVD Killadelphia. To reach the milestone for the video, the band had to reach 50,000 copies sold. The band is thankful that the fans picked up the collection, which features footage of their tour in support of their latest effort, Ashes Of The Wake.

Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe said in a statement, “I woulda never thought ten years ago that our antics would be seen by so many people. I hope the DVD is made out of real gold so I can hock it and buy a new lawn mower.” Blythe told us what the biggest challenge in writing the songs for “Ashes” was.

“Getting the whole album done? Probably time. We’re used to recording a lot slower. Most of our records took a year or more to write. This record we did it in four months and recorded it in two. But we were able to quit our day jobs and focus entirely on being musicians. We were in the practice space six, seven days a week, eight to ten hours a day. So, that’s all we did was just write.”

Lamb Of God is currently enjoying some down time after their successful headline of the Sounds Of The Underground tour.
