QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE ETERNAL CHANGE AND DVD ON THE WAY
Queens Of The Stone Age seems like the biggest open jam in Alternative Rock. Musicians that have come and gone include former partner Nick Oliveri, former Screaming Trees vocalist Mark Lanegan, and friend and occasional guest drummer Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters. |
With all the musical chairs going on in the band, Queens Of The Stone Age frontman and vocalist was asked if he ever saw a time that Queens would settle into a set configuration. |
“Like, long ago I lost the ability to be in U2, where it’s the same four guys, and I respect that. But at the same time this is the search to try to take advantage of the opportunity to play with certain people, even if they can’t stay. And then there’s other times when you’ve got to humble yourself and to alter our music, and if you don’t knife against throat sound)ccccchhhhttt!. You know what I mean?” |
Meanwhile, fans of the band can catch their live show captured on DVD. The band filmed their show at London’s Brixon Academy for a DVD release that will hit stores November 22nd. It will include behind-the-scenes footage and interviews alongside new material, covers, and old gems.< |
The band also has covered Joe Walsh’s “In The City” for the new video game Warriors, based on the cult movie of the 1970s. |
