GOOD CHARLOTTE, KANYE WEST, MAROON 5 HELP NFL KICK OFF

The National Football League had a press conference in Hollywood on Tuesday (September 6) to showcase talent for the league’s kick-off, which takes place Thursday night (September 8) with a contest between the defending champions, New England Patriots and the Oakland Raiders.

Kanye West, fresh off his controversial telethon appearance, was on hand as was Maroon 5 and returning faves Good Charlotte. Joel and Benji Madden of Good Charlotte talk about returning to participate in the NFL kick-off festivies.

[Joel] “Last time it was Britney Spears and Mary J. Blige, and that was really a good time. The press conference was fun, and now we’re with Kanye West and Maroon 5. We’re just glad to be back and maybe receive some more free Pepsi.” [Benji] “I got to meet Darrell Green, he was my favorite player when I was a kid, so that was cool.”

The NFL season’s first weekend is this weekend and it runs into early February with the Super Bowl.

Good Charlotte has just returned to the ‘States after a run of European festival dates this summer in support of their latest album, The Chronicles Of Life And Death.
