DHT GETS LISTEN TO ROXETTE FOR HEART

DHT’s interpretation of Roxette’s “Listen To Your Heart” is currently the Number One song in all of America according to industry magazine Radio & Records.

The first version of the song, which came out close to 15 years ago, was such a big hit for Roxette, it was a brave endeavor to try and improve on it. Vocalist Edmee and DJ/MC Rick Flor got the thumbs up from the band before they released it to the world. When asked if Roxette has heard it the duo, in the U.S. from Belgium, replied:

[Edmee] “Oh yeah, they’ve heard it.” [DJ Flor] “Yeah they’ve heard it. When we started making the song, it’s the idea that we had doing it and then we threw the song of Roxette on the side and we didn’t listen to it at all. I didn’t let Edmee listen to it, we didn’t listen to it ourselves, because then you get confused or you want to repeat something.” [Edmee] “You don’t want to make a copy.” [DJ Flor] “Risht. So we did the dance version and the unplugged version on the same day. We kind of got in that feeling in the studio. After we were done and after it was recorded, after that we let the people from Roxette — Per Gessle — we let him hear it, and he was very enthusiastic about it.”

“Listen To Your Heart” is the first single from DHT’s album of the same name. The band just finished touring the U.S. and making radio festival and promotional appearances to help the Robbins Entertainment band stay on the chart. DHT hits France and the U.K. next.
