ARCADE FIRE, BOWIE, STEFANI SHOW STUFF AT FASHION ROCKS
The Fashion Rocks special on CBS-TV on Friday not only had a stellar line-up, it did its best to carry on the good-will of the program before, a Network TV special to raise funds for the victims of hurricane Katrina. |
The special repeatedly flashed numbers where people could donate and help, but it was the talent that was evident for the special which was held at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall. Rob Thomas, Joss Stone, Destiny’s Child, Gwen Stefani, Arcade Fire, and a rare appearance by David Bowie highlighted the night. Bowie performed solo, but he also performed with the hot Alternative band, Arcade Fire, which drew the biggest applause and crowd reaction of the night. |
Gwen Stefani revealed a more subdued approach than her previous TV appearances, crooning to the Radio City Music Hall audience. |
Destiny’s Child also continued their final run of appearances by thrilling the crowd with their song and dance. |
This was the second successful Fashion Rocks special. The last special featured Hoobastank, Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood, Avril Lavigne and the Black Eyed Peas among others. |
