PORNO FOR PYROS TO RETURN?

Porno For Pyros, the post-Jane’s Addition band of Perry Farrell, could be making a comeback. At a recent Surfrider Foundation event, we talked to Farrell’s Porno bandmate Peter Distefano, and he said there’s new material.

Distefano said that he and Perry collaborated on a slew of tracks that could be the next Porno For Pyros album.

“Yeah, we plan to get together and record. We have, like, thirteen unrecorded songs that we’ve written so we plan to get together in the next year or two to record them either as Porno For Pyros or just us two or whatever. It’s all open stuff. It’s free.”

DiStefano has remained friends with Perry and even performed with him this past summer at Lollapalooza for the festival’s kids stage.

Porno For Pyros had a number of hits in the ’90s, the biggest of which was the song “Pets,” which was off the band’s classic 1993 self-titled release.
