COLD GOES MINI FOR PAIN
Cold has released their new album, A Different Kind Of Pain, and the band is out promoting the album with a tour and by releasing the first single, “Happens All The Time.” |
The album was frought with obstacles, but singer Scooter Ward got inspiration from his siter, Jen, who was battling cancer. While she was in the hospital the band recorded the album in her room. Ward said that they had to go mini for the album. |
“Well we actually… It’s funny because we normally play in practice with our big rigs and four cabinets for each person and all that stuff. And in Jen’s room. It’s just a little room. It’s a closet and a place for a bed and we ahd the miniature drum sets. Like Tama makes these miniature drumsets for kids. We got one of those in there. We got all the little-bitty cabinets like this (shows foot-long with hands) big, and put them all in there. We just played on our guitars and that’s how we wrote the record on like miniature equipment, and it was cool as hell.” |
Cold worked with Michael “Elvis” Baskette for the album and recorded A Different Kind Of Pain in Upstate New York and Virginia. Cold is headlining with openers Flyleaf and Smile Empty Soul. |
