FAT JOE WARNS FANS ABOUT BELIEVING THE HYPE

Fat Joe is involved in a real beef with 50 Cent. The two men don’t like each other and voiced their disdain for each other at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Both rappers have recorded diss tracks physically threatening each other and a peaceful resolution doesn’t appear to be in the near future.

While his beef with 50 Cent may be real, Fat Joe has also been careful to explain that typically rappers are exaggerating and lying when they rap about how gangster or how tough they are. Fat Joe said,

“It was hard for me because the individual, Fat Joe, regular person, goes to schools and prisons and talks to kids and encourage them to stay in school and safe sex and all that. When I’m on my records I’m spassing, you know what I’m sayin’? So I always say in interviews like this or interviews with the Source, wherever, it’s like you know don’t live your life after my music, that’s entertainment. I’m exaggerating. I’m lying and most rappers are too, you know what I’m sayin’? You know that’s the first thing I put down for the kids. Just cause your favorite rapper says he stuck up a liquor store, don’t be thinking you gonna go stick up a liquor store.”
