MELISSA ETHERIDGE RUNS FOR FORD CANCER FUND
Melissa Etheridge is putting her time and effort where her convictions are. Etheridge, a survivor of cancer, has contributed the song “I Run For Life,” for download through Apple for ninety-nine cents. Funds will be earmarked for the Ford Motors sponsored cancer fund, the Komen Foundation. |
Etheridge also recorded a public service announcement about how women can get through the cancer scare. Sitting on a couch for a recent interview, Etheridge was asked what she’d like women going through the cancer ordeal should know. |
“I would like to tell women who are going throuh this or who have just gone through this that there is so much hope. There is so much now that this is, yes, a big change, but you will be fine, that you have the strength, that there is much support out there. Much out in the world, and you are not alone.” |
“I Run For Life” will be included on Etheridge’s “Greatest Hits The Road Less Traveled,” which is scheduled to be released in October 2005. |
