It may take a bit for Hard-Fi to catch on everywhere else, but in the band’s native United Kingdom, they’re doing just fine. In fact, the band has released the follow-up to “Cash Machine” there.

Hard-Fi’s “Living For The Weekend” made a Top 20 debut on the U.K. chart, and the band’s Richard Archer said that the band threw out a lot of songs, just so they could give fans and the industry the best album they had to offer.

“I mean it was a bit of a… The songs almost evolved. The song would be written in a basic format and maybe we’d have a rough version recorded and we’d go into the studio. The beauty of having our own place is that we could sit in there and we’d work on stuff and try things out. For every great idea that we had, we had a hundred that were rubbish, that went in the bin.”

Hard-Fi is set for a European tour next month, with sold-out dates in the U.K. for separate fall and early winter tour legs. There’s no U.S. dates on the horizon.
