OAR HOPES FANS LOVE NEW ALBUM

O.A.R. is set to release their new album, Stories Of A Stranger, and the band has gone a new direction, a more radio friendly direction, with their new single “Love And Memories.”

Stories Of A Stranger hits stores tomorrow (October 4) and vocalist Marc Roberge said the band wanted to take a chance and make something that was still O.A.R., but could get them to the next level as far as accessibility.

“Yeah, I think you look at all the tracks and you say, ‘You’ve got this rock song, ‘Love and Memories,’ and it really fits the mold – not intentionally – but it kind of gets out there on the airwaves. We’ve never been a radio band, and we didn’t really shoot for that, but I think this song kinds of does it. It fits in, so we’re looking forward to see how it does.”

O.A.R. scheduled a special “Evening with O.A.R” at the Nokia Theater on Monday prior to the release. The band is planning on debuting a majority of their new album, plus giving fans performances of some of the band’s back catalog. The band will be on the road through November 26 in Camden, New Jersey.
