Nelly has created quite a musical empire for himself including the Vokal clothing line, the Apple Bottom Jean collection, a piece of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats, and his own Dertty Entertainment label. The rapper was recently awarded a star on the St. Louis Walk of Fame because of his contributions to his hometown. Nelly, who is 30 years-old, will become the youngest inductee into the St. Louis Walk of Fame.

In addition to his musical contributions, Nelly has also lead a nation-wide bone marrow registry drive and continues his efforts even after having lost his sister to leukemia. The rapper also donated $50,000 to the Martin Luther King Memorial Project Foundation which is attempting to build a memorial for King in Washington, DC.
