LIFEHOUSE GOLD, MISINFORMED ABOUT YOU AND ME VIDEO
(VIDEO) Lifehouse, who just went gold, admits they were misinformed about “You And Me” video. Singer/songwriter Jason Wade tells the story to the camera… here! |
Lifehouse’s self-titled third record has been officially certified gold for sales of 500,000 copies. The album follows in the footsteps of 2000’s No Name Face and 2001’s Stanley Climbfall. The latest album has spawned “You And Me” which still sits at Number One on certian airplay charts. |
Singer/songwriter Jason Wade remembers that going into the video shoot for the song, he thought it was going to be a simple video interview for an electronic press kit. |
“We actually didn’t know that we were going to do that video until the day before. They told us where we were supposed to show up and we were under the impresssion it was like a press kit EPK type thing, and we were like, ‘OK.’ And we get there and all of the sudden we start realizing that this is our video shoot. The live stuff ended up being the front half of the video. All of the acting stuff, of the treatment or whatever we ended up having to re-do. So we just, a couple of weeks ago, shot at the union station down in LA and it turned out really good. So we pieced it together and ended up being probably the cheapest video we ever shot but being one of the best looking ones.” |
Those who haven’t seen the video for “You And Me” can get it as part of the band’s forthcoming DVD package, titled Everything. The collection features live footage taped earlier this year, and it includes every video the band has ever made. “Everything” hits stores November 22. |
