IRV GOTTI FINALLY MEETS THE MAN
Murder Inc Records CEO Irv Gotti, whose real name is Irving Lorenzo, and his brother, label president Chris Gotti (Chris Lorenzo), are currently federal money-laundering and racketeering charges for allegedly using drug money to start Murder Inc Records. Jury selection in underway in the duos trial in Brooklyn, New York, and on Monday, the two brothers finally met the man who may put them behind bars for twenty years. Assistant U.S. attorney Carolyn Pokorny introduced IRS agent Francis Mace to the judge and potential jurors. |
Mace’s work has produced affidavits which support the theory that reputed drug kingpin Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff is the true owner of Murder Inc Records and that the three men were watching their enemy 50 Cent’s every step. |
Prosecutors believe that McGriff, who is currently serving a three-year sentence on a gun charge, provided Irv Gotti with the startup cash to launch Murder Inc. Records. Gotti has maintained that the label was started by using $2 million in startup cash that was provided by its former parent company, Def Jam Records. |
The case is slated to get underway on November 14th. |
