AVENGED SEVENFOLD UPS THE PRODUCTION ANTE
Avenged Sevenfold is bringing its most ambitious tour out on the road on this leg in support of their latest CD, City Of Evil. The band is in New York City on October 27 to play Webster Hall, and the early reviews are that the live show is just that, a show. |
With the art of putting on a show with full production almost lost to the new school of musicians, Avenged Sevenfold thought it was time to bring the art form of a good rock show back. Bassist Johnny Christ and drummer The Rev told us they’re putting their proverbial eggs into the stage show. |
[Johny Christ]”Yeah, you know, we just always want to always put on a new show for them like give them something to come back to and not give them the same show every f–kin’ time. You’ve got to do something different. So it gives them a reason to buy a tickets and comp back.” [The Rev] “We just want to build up our touring as the focal point of our business as a band. If we can get our touring big enough to where we’re playing big enough rooms then the money will be there, you know? That’s the theory.” [Johnny Christ] “That’s the ultimate goal.” [The Rev]”We’ll see if it works out.” |
Avenged Sevenfold is touring in support of their latest single, “Bat Country,” and the tour in support will take them through December 2 when the tour winds down in Las Vegas. |
