DAVID GRAY CONSIDERS CUTTING BACK TOUR 2006
David Gray has broken through with the song “The One I Love,” and his new album Life In Slow Motion is one of his best since the breakthrough at the turn of the century, White Ladder. |
Gray has been touring and promoting the album non-stop since its release, and because it’s been so popular, he’s being asked by venues all around the world to play. The only catch is that he’s growing weary from promoting the album, and he hinted to our cameras that he might slow down in 2006 to spend more time with his wife and kids. |
“This year’s been pretty intense from sort of June/July onwards with the record sort of being set for September and the tour is booked and there is already some touring booked for next year, but it’s because the record has sold across the world people want you to go everywhere it does, it puts you in a difficult position. I think this time around I’m kind of cautions to try and get everywhere and please everybody because I know the cost on my own domestic situation. It’s just part and parcel of the job, but certainly having children makes it more difficult.” |
Gray is still touring the United States through November 11 in Atlanta. He’ll return home to the U.K. and will tour Europe, which kicks off November 29 in Belfast. |
