(VIDEO) Reverend Run says his new album has the Run-DMC sound!!!

Reverend Run’s new reality show, Run’s House, debuted on MTV this week and the veteran rapper plans to capitalize on the exposure by releasing his debut solo album, Distortion, next Tuesday, October 18th. The first single from the project is “Mind On The Road.”

Reverend Run explained what his fans can expect from the new project. He said,

“I’m a reverend I ain’t trying to battle nobody. Man don’t come to me with that drama. It’s very runish, r-u-n-i-s-h. There’s nothing that sounds real new. It sounds very Run-DMC like.”

Distortion is the rapper’s first project since Run-DMC retired the group after the October 2002 murder of deejay Jam Master Jay.
