SEVENDUST DEBUTS AT NUMBER 21

Sevendust’s new album, Next, has debuted at Number 21 on the Billboard 200 album chart. It was neck and with Story Of The Year’s latest release, In The Wake Of Determination.

The album is the first without one of the band’s primary songwriters, Clint Lowery, who left to form Dark New Day. The album’s success so far has to do with their rabid fanbase, and drummer Morgan Rose is thankful for their support.

“You know, we’ve had a great career and we’ve got so much loyalty out there that I mean, it’s weird, we can go to a town and just play. We’ve played some towns five times on one record, they’ve got to be tired of seeing it, and they still come to see it. It’ll be different on that level too. We found a way to not have to play so much just to be able to make enough money to keep going, which of course took changes. We had to make some changes to do that. We’re definitely moving in the right direction. Everybody’s got their lives together. We’re growing still. We’ve still got some more growing to do, so we’re pretty good with that.”

Sevendust is heading out with Mudvayne as part of the Masters Of Horror tour, which starts November 18. The band’s first single, “Ugly,” is currently moving up the rock and Active Rock radio charts.
