ANASTASIO FROM PHISH TO GOOSE

Former Phish guitarist and mastemind Trey Anastasio has once again evolved releasing a new album, Shine. For Anastasio, this might be the most straight ahead, classic album he’s ever done, and he recently appeared at Vegoose to show the world his new band.

Anastasio will forever be linked with Phish, and the recent go-around was the reunion after he broke off the band for the first time nearly five years ago. Anastasio was pleased about Phish’s short, second run.

“Very happy with the whole experience and still miss those guys as much as you do and all that in one big thought is basically the way I would put it. It’s been a great year and very exciting.”

Anastasio’s Shine is also available in DualDisc format, and in addition to the August 2005 Red Rocks show on DVD it also features an additional EP, Live In Chicago.

Meanwhile for those who miss Phish, their New Year’s Eve show from 1995 will be released on DVD on December 20.
