DEPECHE MODE UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Depeche Mode’s new album Playing The Angel arrived on the Billboard chart at Number Seven two weeks ago on the Billboard 200 album chart, and this week the album dropped to Number 18. These days though, the band is not about chart position or loooking to establish itself. |
Depeche Mode has established itself as a worldwide entity for over two decades, and at this point, vocalist Dave Gahan said that the band is about trying to complete unfinished business. |
“There was definitely unfinished business, and it’s always been like that. Like I get this feeling of, we’ve made some really, really good albums together and this one or that one or this part, or that part of this one or whatever, but it’s still that fear of, like, we still want to make the best record that we possibly can.” |
The start of Depeche Mode’s worldwide tour in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area was delayed due to the problems of hurricane Wilma. The storm, while not as powerful as Rita or Katrina, still left many residents without power and with a significant amount of property damage. The band launched their tour in St. Petersburg, Florida on Thursday, November 3. |
