SHINEDOWN OVERCOMES ANOTHER OBSTACLE
Shinedown is currently back in action with singer Brent Smith after the singer was rushed to the hospital while on tour with blood clots in his neck and arm. The band figured they’d have to cancel the shows in support of Us And Them as special openers for 3 Doors Down, but Smith was back in action within days. |
Smith recently recalled a less serious set of obstacles, this one having to do with their busy touring schedule and wanting to get fans a new album this year. |
“Probably the biggest obstacle was the fact that we toured the first record for almost two years and when we got off the road they were like, ‘OK take a couple of months off and two weeks into it we got so bored and we were so kind of ready to do a new record that once we got in the studio we had pieces and parts and stuff from being on the road but we didn’t have full songs. So the pressure of being able to write the songs and get it done in an amount of time so we can have the album come out this year was probably the biggest obstacle.” |
Shinedown’s “Save Me” is charting both at Modern and Active rock and the band will play a string of radio festival shows after their tour with 3 Doors Down wraps up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 13. |
