CHEVELLE THANKSGIVING DRAMA
Chevelle is still trying to figure out what to do about their bass guitar position after Pete and Sam Loeffler parted ways with brother Joe. The band is currently taking a break after a heavy tour schedule, and they’re getting ready for what looks like a dramatic Thanksgiving. |
Sam Loeffler was asked where their parents stand on the whole business of one member of the band, a brother, their own son, parting ways with their brothers. |
“It’s a very family thing right now where we have to get over a lot of stuff. You know we’ve always kept our family out of all of this. As far as family goes, it’s always been the three of us. We’ve never had family managers or anything like that involved. So that we were able to go home and have Thanksgiving and not have it be weird, you know? So, we’ve done all of it on our own and it’s still that way. They just back us up. Everybody says it’s your thing, you do it, it’s your job, and that’s cool.” |
The band announced that bassist Joe Loeffler and the band had parted ways earlier this year, reportedly due to Joe’s lack of touring desire. At first the band said it was amicable, but as with any band/brother split it was a little more complicated than first thought. |
