DA BACK WUDZ TO RELEASE DEBUT IN JANUARY

Super-producer Dallas Austin will release the debut album from his latest proteges, Da Back Wudz, in January. The album, Wood Work, features guest appearances by Daz Dillinger, Nas, Slim Thug, Big Gipp, George Clinton, Jermaine Dupri, and Sleepy Brown.

Da Back Wudz’ debut was initially scheduled for a summer 2005 release on Austin’s Rowdy Records but the super-producer decided to push the project back. He said,

“Yeah man, Back Wudz, watch out for them in January. We’re gearing up now with the new single and Hype’s doing the video. I really wanted to just set the group up enough man before I put them out cause Back Wudz is a really special act. They’re really talented. They’re super rappers man especially from the south cause you know sometimes things can get a little pidgeon-holed down there. I think you’re gonna get like a very universal album out of them. I think people are gonna really love them as an act.”
