LIVING THINGS COMBINE FLASHY ROCK WITH CONTROVERSIAL POLITICS
Living Things released their new album, Ahead Of The Lions, last month, and despite the band’s Glam image, their message is very political. With Election Day today (Tuesday, November 8), their pro-democrat views are up for discussion, which is what the band seeks to promote. |
Living Things singer Lillian Berlin realizes that the country’s bad name abroad and every action by our government is eventually the responsibility of every person in this country. |
“Even if you went out and voted, you didn’t tell enough people. You didn’t get enough of your friends to vote because obviously people aren’t understanding that everyday your rights are getting taken away. And one thing I’ve always said is that in school they should teach you your Bill Of Rights just like they’re teaching you the ABCs. You should really understand it so when laws are getting passed through Congress that are depleting your rights you know what’s going onm you’re not oblivious to it, you know.” |
Living Things is one of the only rock bands on Jive Records, which makes most of its money on pop and urban music. The band is currently out on the road playing club shows. They just wrapped up a two-night stint in New York. The band’s first single from Ahead Of The Lions is “Bom, Bom, Bom.” |
