QUEEN TO RETURN FOR FULL-SCALE U.S. TOUR
Queen has announced a 23 date tour of the U.S. with Paul Rodgers fronting the band. They played two sold-out shows, one on each coast, and now they’re ready to expand. Tickets for the shows go on sale December 3, and Queen will kick off this trek with a show on March 3 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. |
Cities on board for the tour include Washington, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and the New York area (Nassau Coliseum, Long Island). With the tour expanding, drummer Roger Taylor points out that it started with a single show in the U.K., and it has grown into a full-fledged touring outfit which has taken on its own life. |
“With a tour you get a chance to rehearse it properly, and then really develop it. You get into a run and you get into a routine and a rhythm, and the tour takes on energy and a life of its own, hopefully.” |
Fans can get a preview of the show with the DVD, Return Of The Champions, and on December 7 the band is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the song “Bohemian Rhapsody” with a DVD and CD re-release of the 1975 classic. |
