JUELZ SANTANA BEATS THE SOPHOMORE JINX
Juelz Santana beat the sophomore jinx this week when his sophomore album, What The Game’s Been Missing, debuted at Number Nine on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The rapper sold 140,000 copies of his latest album its first week in stores which is more than two times what his 2003 debut, From Me 2 U, sold |
The Diplomats first lady Jha Jha explained what she’s learned from her fellow Diplomats’ success. She said, |
“How to go out and put your own record out just in case the record label is not behind you at that time. How to make the label get behind you like Juelz did. See Juelz is bubbling now. Part of that is because he put out his own record and now everybody loves him. They been loving him.” |
Jha Jha was referring to the fact the Santana paid for his first video, “Mic Check,” out of his pocket in order to get the buzz for the new album going. |
The latest single from What The Game’s Been Missing is “Oh Yes.” |
