JAY Z HIT WITH LAWSUIT
Singer Chrisette Michele hit with 20 million dollar lawsuit by former manager. |
Jay-Z was hit with a lawsuit by wrestler Diamond Dallas Page for the unlawful use of his “Diamond Cutter” hand signal. According to the wrestler, he trademarked the rights to the diamond-shaped symbol in 1996 when he started using it for wrestling and other entertainment ventures. Jay-Z and members of Roc-A-Fella Records have been using the diamond hand sign since the late 90s as a symbol for the label. |
Page is suing to stop the rapper from using the diamond hand sign and for an undisclosed financial amount. Calls to Def Jam Records were not returned at press time. |
The Delta Sigma Theta sorority has also been using the same diamond hand sign since the mid-60s. |
