Underground mixtape kingpin, DJ Drama, who is known for his Gangsta Grillz mixtapes, has just joined the family of Grand Hustle Records. The DJ, who founded the Atlanta-based deejay collective, the Aphilliates, said, “To be able to get a major record deal from pushing mixtapes in the streets is a great feeling for me as a DJ. I did it my way, and I am being rewarded greatly for that.”

T.I., who owns Grand Hustle Records, added, “He’s a very significant piece to our puzzle, and he brings incredible marketing opportunities to the company. It’s an honor and a pleasure to be in business together.”

Grand Hustle Records is distributed by Atlantic Records. The label’s previous releases include the Hustle & Flow soundtrack and the debut album from the Pimp Squad Click.
