JAY Z HEADING TO MARCY PROJECTS FOR CHRISTMAS

Rapper Jay-Z has a true rag to riches story as he made his way from Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects to the boardroom of Def Jam Records and an ownership stake in the New Jersey Nets. The rapper hasn’t forgotten where he came from and he plans to spend Christmas Day in Marcy projects handing out toys to children as part of his annual toy drive. The rapper will allow every child under 13 years-old to select their own gift out of a grab bag that will contain approximately $10,000 in gifts.

Jay-Z has a busy year ahead of him at Def Jam Records. The label is slated to release several high profile albums this year including new albums by Redman, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Slick Rick, and Ludacris.
