FALL OUT BOY TO BRING OUT BIG GUNS FOR NEW YEARS EVE

Urban Newswrap, January 9 – MIA lets fans in on when they can expect a new album, Freddie E suicide, Rick Ross reveals new album title.

Fall Out Boy will be ringing in the New Year with MTV as they’re going to ring in 2006 with a performance on the channel. The band has had a monstrous year thanks to their song, “Sugar, We’re Going Down.”

While the song was bigger Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump talked about delivering something even bigger on the telecast.

[Wentz] “It’s going to be insane. No, no, no. The New Year’s Eve show. I’m trying to get… You know Borneo is where they discover a lot of new speicies or whatever and they…I think they have a dragon or something there.” [Stump] “It’s a new type of fox-cat.” [Wentz] No, no, no. I think it was a dragon. We’re going to to try to get a dragon of some kind. CGI Lucasfilm is going to be helping us out with that. We have a 500,000 dollar budget that we’re going to be using for that. I’m going to be introducing a new kind of soda as well.”

Joining Fall Out Boy on the MTV New Year’s Eve event are Kanye West, Shakira, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, Common, All-American Rejects and Young Jeezy. Festivities start at 10:30 PM ET/PT.
