RAY LAMONTAGNE BREAKS OUT IN 2005

Ray Lamontagne may be the grassroots person of the year. The singer/songwriter has played Bonnaroo and is currently up for touring artist of the year by Pollstar, the touring industry publication.

Lamontagne has a lot of support of his peers as well as a loyal team surrounding him, and he said as long as people come support him, he’ll play.

“It’s nice. It’s nice. I don’t expect anything to last, you know, but so far it’s been really nice and really surprising. As long as people keep coming, I’ll keep showing up and playing and writing new songs, as long as people are interested. But, it’s been pretty nice, yeah.”
