MUDVAYNE HAPPY? WITH WIDER AUDIENCE
Mudvayne’s single, “Happy?,” crossed from Active Rock to Modern Rock, and was Active Rock radio’s number one song for 2005. The tune also charted in the Alternative Rock Top 25. By no means has the band gone soft, but they’re comfortable with “Happy?” from their album, Lost And Found, being adopted by the mainstream. |
Drummer Matt McDonough told us they wanted to expand and grow thier fanbase by releasing “Happy?” as a single for radio airplay. |
“It makes it easier to give to somebody and if you’ve never heard the band and say, ‘This is an idea of what the band is about.’ Yeah, we’re obviously trying to reach a broader base of listeners. I mean… So, I think it’s inherrent in what our attitude to the album is. It’s to make it the most definitive Mudvayne record that we could, really stating what the band is about right now for sure.” |
Mudvayne is set for the Big Day Out festival in Australia starting January 20 in Auckland, New Zealand. |
