LIL KIM HOPING TO GET OUT OF JAIL EARLY
Rapper Lil’ Kim is serving a year and a day sentence in a Philadelphia area federal prison and is scheduled to be released on August 2nd, 2006 but according to the rapper’s lawyer she may be released as early as June. The rapper’s attorney, James Leonard Jr., told allhiphop.com, “I think this entire experience has unearthed new depths for Kim, both as a person and an artist. I think you will see that in the direction she takes upon her release from prison.” |
Leonard added, “The warden and the staff at the FDC have been great with Kim. She has neither sought [nor] received any special treatment. They have respected her privacy and have treated her extremely fair.” |
Lil’ Kim will be under house arrest until August if she is released early and will have three years supervised probation. |
The rapper was found guilty of lying to a grand jury investigating a shooting outside of New York’s WQHT which left one man wounded. |
