CAMRON BREAKS DOWN HIS PROBLEM WITH JAY Z
Camron held a press conference in New York City on Wednesday, January 25th, to share the upcoming release schedule for Diplomat Records and to address the media in regards to his beef with Jay-Z. After listing six different albums, that his label, Diplomat Records, will release, Camron jumped into his reasons for striking first. Camron explained that tensionbetween the two men had been brewing for several years but the straw that broke the camel was when Jay-Z attempted to find footage of the Dip Set members to clown them at November’s “I Declare War” concert. |
Camron explained, |
“So I don’t understand how a concert is called ‘I Declare War’ and then it’s a peace treaty on the stage? If you got problems with people, you know you got problems with Dame? You got problems with Dip Set? We getting ready for that you know. So we got ready for it. He gets there, doesn’t do it and we just sitting on ammo. So that was the last pretty much straw. He did that with Nas? You know you go to Summer Jam, he dissed Mobb Deep and Nas on stage. What did Nas do to him? For him to just go jump up there and dis Nas? ‘Cause he wanted that spot.” |
The rapper added that he doesn’t plan to release any more dis songs if Jay-Z doesn’t respond. He said, |
“We’re waiting and seeing you know? At the end of the day, I’m not going to keep beating up on an old man you know what I’m sayin’? So if he retaliates or whatever, we’ll be prepared. Like I said a lot of people are sitting there saying, ‘Cam made a dis record. Cam made….’ I didn’t really make a dis record. If I said Beyonce was on my song singing about slinging crack. She’s on my second album singing about slinging crack.” |
Camron will release his new movie, Killa Season, on April 25th. The movie’s soundtrack will be released in May. |
