FLOETRY SINGER GOES SOLO
Marsha Ambrosius, of the R&B duo Floetry, is going solo with the help of Aftermath CEO Dr. Dre. |
After a Floetry performance at the Roxy in West Hollywood last November, Ambrosius was approached by the CEO and offered a solo deal. |
I’m absolutely … I’m in shock,” said Ambrosius. “It shows all dreams are real. It’s one of those situations where I’d be a fool to pass it up.” |
Although an inked deal has not been confirmed by the label, Ambrosius and Dre have already recorded one track which features rapper 50 cent. The singer told MTV she is not sure what tracks will be on the album expected to be released next year. |
As for Floetry, Ambrosius insists “Floetry is always going to be Floetry,” regardless of her solo career. |
